About
IslandHacks is a hackathon - social coding event - organized and led by high school students in Alameda. The goal of the event is to provide students with a fun opportunity to explore their interests in STEM through collaborative and innovative project creation.

Where is the hackathon taking place? π
Who can participate? π
Any high school student in Alameda can participate! (This hackathon is not open to students outside of Alameda)
What if I donβt have any coding experience? π
Prior coding experience is not needed. We will have mentors to support!
How much does it cost? π€
Nothing! It is free to participate!
What about teams? π€
Participants can find teammates at the beginning of the event. Team size is limited to 4 members.
Who runs this? Is it supervised? π¨βπ«
Students in Alameda! Adults will be supervising as well.
