IslandHacks is a hackathon - social coding event - organized and led by high school students in Alameda. The goal of the event is to provide students with a fun opportunity to explore their interests in STEM through collaborative and innovative project creation.
A hackathon is a collaborative coding event in which students come together to build projects!
Any high school student in Alameda can participate! (This hackathon is not open to students outside of Alameda)
Prior coding experience is not needed. We will have mentors to support!
Nothing! It is free to participate!
Participants can find teammates at the beginning of the event. Team size is limited to 4 members.
Students in Alameda! Adults will be supervising as well.
